I have a unique use case…
I maintain agricultural drainage systems and would like to use the 3d modeling (I think) to get a quantitative assessment of the amount of brush growing alongside the ditches.
Anyone have any experience with a similar exercise?
Thanks in advance!

I have done something similar a few times with calculating the approximate quantity of haul off needed to shred and remove trees and brush from the right away of a road that we were building. The tricky part to figure out is what is your shrink factor for air space. I guessed at a 50% loss on the tree scenario and was within about 4000cy (200 trucks) on 80000cy (4000 trucks) of removal. Trees are pretty easy to capture an overall shape though. I guess it depends on what kind of brush you are dealing with.
