Mavic 3E and DD

I am considering changing to a Mavic 3E. I was really excited about how much faster I should be able to map, the mechanical shutter, longer flight times and larger areas I can map.
But then I started to see concerning posts about it an DD. I know I can use the Pilot app but my missions tend to take a lot of time planning, so I really rely on pc planning.
For everyone out there using a M3E, have the bugs been worked out? I always use default settings, very simple ortho production for rural properties. But I also fly some long pipelines. Guess I’m looking for some reassurance before I make the purchase.

What do you mean take a lot of time to plan? You can plan for free on FlightHub 2. You get 5 “projects” and unlimited flight plans in each “project”. My 5 are customers and each customer (project) has multiple projects (flights). Pilot 2 is the better option right now if you plan on using RTK. DD is fine for regular flight and PPK.

I mean finding locations, defining the boundaries, checking to see that each plan location has good line of sight, and that I don’t miss a property corner, etc. I fly private ranches, so I have to really optimize the plan to get the most acreage done per section. If DD is working good using the M3E as regular flight then I’m probably worrying for nothing. Not using rtk for now.

When I get into technical flight with obscure boundaries, I do all my planning on Google Earth and Streetview and import the KML.

That’s sort of what I do also.
Last question - do you know how DD works if you have no cell network with the M3E and pro controller?

I see the Make Available Offline option shows up in the app on the controller.
Didn’t see it on the pc and thought it was gone or something.
Regardless, has anyone seen problems with this in the M3E system?

Just make sure you sync it up before you get out of range.
