Support for Mavic 3 Multispectral

Are there any plans to add support for the Mavic 3 Multispectral Drone?

The Mavic 3, CINE, Classic, and Pro models are incompatible with DroneDeploy missions. DJI has not yet released an Enterprise application that supports the Mavic 3 consumer series and has not yet made support available to third-party applications. All this means that the Mavic 3 consumer series is not yet compatible with any mapping software, including DJI and DroneDeploy.

We do support data collected from this drone for processing.

You can rest assured that we will support the Mavic 3 consumer series in the DroneDeploy Flight app once available, and we are working closely with DJI to offer the preferred functionality. In the meantime, Iā€™d recommend checking our supported drones page for the most up-to-date information regarding the drone models we support.

Hello Andrea,

  • Could you please link to the most up to date workflow for processing multispectral data?
  • Can I upload only 2 bands from the M3M and have success with processing?
  • Does the 10000 image maximum still apply for multispectral proessing?

Hello,

Here are some general answers to your questions, but please reach out to DroneDeploy support for further guidance.

For uploading IR or multispectral imagery, you would need to go to the upload tab ā†’ special upload types ā†’ map or model ā†’ multispectral files.

We need all five bands (Blue, Green, Red, Red Edge, Near Infrared) to process the map.

Yes, the 10,000 image max applies for multispectral processing.
