Payload requirements are in the order of 4kg.

Is there a reason you prefer the DJI platform? I think the Matrice M100 is probably the most customizable they have at that payload and may be a good choice, but I almost think you would be better served with a fully custom drone. Seems like you would need features like prop covers and at least five-sided obstacle avoidance.
