What does the Vertical Height value represent in finding a linear measurement?

The vertical helps determine the slope values.
Hi Michael,
I’ve noticed you’re very active in support regarding excavation and elevation applications. I could really use some help in understanding more of the inner workings of this feature. I’m working on helping some folks on grading of their fields but don’t want to give them incorrect info. Any chance you’d have time to “tutor” me through the process. I’ve already surveyed the field and the map looks good. Just not sure what some the numbers mean, especially cut/fill application.
