Hi There,
I have a bit of an odd question on whether this is viable in Drone Deploy as I am quite a cautious flier and do not think it is possible. A coworker of mine was hoping to get a facade/vertical map from in between these cores (shown in image attached).
They want to check the size of chipping on the walls highlighted in red, however, the minimum distance in DroneDeploy to capture is 11m and the gap between these cores are approximately 4m.
Is there an alternate way of mapping this using DroneDeploy? Is this possible to do manually or do you think this is too risky? Is there a better way to map what is between these cores?
For reference, I use a Mavic M3E to fly.
Thank you for the help in advance!
If you are running an automated mission you should be able to pause, manually fly this area and then resume. Or just walk the drone through. It will most likely loose GPS, but the machine is usually able to compensate. I would think being over one core looking oblique at the other should do the trick though.
I was able to get this which was much better than my previous tries, will just take some time to practice and see what gets the best angle (this was as suggested but at 60 degrees). Whilst it’s a bit difficult to see the lower core levels, I think this will be the best I can do and still captures most of the core well!
Thanks again to this community for your guidance! Greatly assists intermediate fliers like myself gain more experience. Much appreciated!
