Can someone from DroneDeploy (DD) comment on this whole issue of the US Govt banning DJI? I use DJI heavily in my business and I know that DD also incorporates DJI into the process flow such as linking the Mavic 3 E with mapping out flights. I don’t want to lose DJI and it would be catastrophic for my business.
Does anyone and DD have any insight, comments or thoughts about this whole issue?
There’s been no movement for a couple of months on the legislation (Countering CCP Drones Act, H.R. 2864) itself but that have been a couple of events dealing with trade and customs that aren’t making the situation any better. All available on Google. What should give you comfort as of right now there will not be any action taken on drones that are in the United States beyond the already existing bans by Federal and State governments. I would assume other States would join in but unless you do that kind of work the drones you have up until the actual ban happens should be fine. The legislation could take years to pass and I suspect it will get put on the backburner with the passing of the torch that is happening now.

I looked at other alternatives and nothing comes close to what I get with the DJI products. I’ve been wanting to get another payload for the Matrice 350 I have and purchase another Mavic 3E or T
