Uploading LAS Lidar Into My Maps

There is mention of it by using the ‘smart uploader’ and even a youtube video. But in reality, the uploader is not accepting LAS files.

I have processed my lidar data with Terra and trying to upload them into the maps I have created.

Is this available or just a future update possibility? Or I would more than happy to be proven wrong and shown the way.

Can you clarify “not accepting”? Does the uploader not show the files, are you getting errors, is it coming in incorrectly?

You cant drop LAS files into the uploader. It will not accept the file type.

However your site claims it has it available as a beta feature according to https://help.dronedeploy.com/hc/en-us/articles/12974889737495-Upload-Preprocessed-Point-Cloud-data-LIDAR-data-in-las-format posted 3 months ago - so how do I upload?

The files are less than 100 MB altogether.

So its not a size issue, they are under 5 GB.

Ive already uploaded photos and created a 2d/3d model

Now I would like to add a LIDAR layer onto it. Is it possible?

Thanks for the detail, very helpful. That took care of one of the things I wanted to make sure of in the fact that they were actually LAS and not LAZ. Some people don’t know the difference or just don’t notice it. What created these files?

As you have already seen this is still BETA functionality, so it is important to make sure to follow proper channels. This is a User-mod group that often doesn’t get attention from corporate. I’m assuming you emailed support?

@Lindsey_Huffman Have either of you seen this before?

Lidar created by L1 Zenmuse on a 350 RTK and processed into LAS files in Terra.
