Understanding VARI

I’m new to UAV mapping. Flying Mavic Pro platinum.
Where can I find out how to understand VARI data? I’ve looked online for hours and I’m not coming up with anything.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve read that article a few times. It indeed answers some simple questions. But I’m hoping to find where I can learn how to understand VARI on a level that will let me report problem areas to my clients. Maybe I can just provide the report to a local agronomist.

Is it really as simple as this?
red = bad
green = good
yellow = not as good

Depends on what drone and camera you are using. If you are using an RGB-only camera then that’s about it.
