Has anyone had any issues with Android app version 5.46.0 using an Android 14 phone (Mi 11)? Drone is a DJI P4P (latest FW etc.)
I tried to launch a mission yesterday and seem to be having problems with certain important buttons/icons in the DD UI responding. These being flight checklist, launch and settings. Creating and editing projects are no problem. It seems like the app is upset for want of a better word and can’t respond to my touching the screen. Like there’s a bug or something is wrong so it it won’t respond.
I’ve never had a problem with the Android DD app up to now.
Hi Philip, i’ve had the same issue a couple days ago (Android phone too). Checklist works fine but won’t register pressing the green start button. Have you found a solution?
Same problem here. Using a samsung tablet. Preflight checklist button works only after tapping the button several times and not necessarily directly on the “button”. Sometimes I need to press slightly off the button for it to register.
When the start flight button appears, I can’t get it to register my push on it at all to start the flight. I’ve tried rebooting the drone, controller, tablet. I’ve reinstalled the app. Nothing works. It worked fine during the summer, I assume a recent update has rendered the app useless.
You’ve described the same problem I’m experiencing but in more detail. Many thanks. It’s so frustrating. I’ll have to try again and if no luck resort to using my iPad Mini 4
Hi Philip, AWhyte, JPJG,
… and here’s me thinking i have cable, hardware mismatch or finger trouble. I was advised by the owner of the company who sold me the P4P as follows.
launch the P4P using DJI GO 4 app first
land the P4P, and dismiss DJI GO 4
open DD having previously set up the mission, press FLIGHT CHECK after say 30sec, let the app satisfy itself that there are more than 10 satellites, and allow another 20sec for comms between app/controller and P4P to settle, then touch green START FLIGHT once only - the icon should dim a bit indicating the command has been sent.
DO NOT PRESS THE START FLIGHT BUTTON REPEATEDLY IF NOTHING SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING, wait say 15 or 20 sec for the drone initialising message to show and you should hear the motors start up.
I may be mistaken, but i also think screen protector glass or film play a part in this.
HAVING SAID ALL THIS, I WONDER WHY SUPPORT AT DD ARE NOT ADDRESSING THE ISSUE?
