I’m interested in obtaining a surface profile from a creek bed, but when I draw an transect and export the CSV file it provides only the elevation for a series of lat/longs with no indication of the distance between the points being measured. When I calculate the distance between these lat/longs it appears the intervals are inconsistent. Is there any way to set a standard interval for surface elevation measurements (e.g., every 0.5 meter or 1 foot)? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have any CAD or GIS software? It would be much easier to download the DXF contours and create more professional looking profiles.
