I am curious as to what types of tools everyone is using to obtain accurate GPS coordinates for their GCPs. Are there any inexpensive ways to get accurate point measurements for GCPs without having to spend thousand$ on commercial level surveying equipment?
Learn how to survey. Not trying to sound condescending, it just makes me laugh when people think they can pick up some technology and “survey” with a drone. If you have basic survey skills you can easily locate GCP’s using existing control. What are you going to be doing that requires GCP’s? I have been working with DD on true topographic surveys that can be used in construction and would be happy to speak with you offline.
