Would really like to see the date the default satellite background map was taken.
For example, in this scenario, the map made with DD shows crop damage from too much rain.
The default satellite background map appears shows a time when crops were damaged from drought, but I cannot tell for sure when that was. Really basic information that could be very informative, in my opinion.
Thanks for the note Aaron - I’ll see what we can do with our satellite map provider. We’re currently looking for alternatives as coverage isn’t great outside of the US.
We cannot pull tiles from Google maps as their terms restrict using them in another application. We are working with Bing tiles for our most recent release for areas outside the U.S.
