ND Lens for NDVI Camera on Inspire 1

I have started testing this a bit, but wanted to see if anyone else has had any experience with it yet. I am running an Inspire 1 with a modified camera for NDVI imaging. Should I use the dark ND filter for a sunny day and a clear ND filter for a cloudy day? Or no filter at all?

Thanks,

Sean

One of the options in the app is the disable our automatic camera settings. If you have experience with filters and setting up your camera to get the best image for the time of day you’re flying I would recommend turning off our camera settings. If you click the option cog in the bottom left once connected to a drone it will turn off our settings.

Ideally you want a reasonable shutter speed (1/200 - 1/1000) so you don’t end up with blurry photos but still let in enough light, a fixed white balance so photos aren’t different colors, fixed ISO to close to 100 if possible to reduce noise. It might take some tweaking depending on which NDVI camera you have.

Hi Sean,

Can I ask you exactly what kind of modified cam are you using for the I1?
Are you satisfied with it?

thx
