This has been the case ever since the redesign of the reports and we knew about it then, but that was a WHILE back so I just wanted to refresh.
When you start a Materials Report and set the viewing windows position and zoom levels the settings do not persist. When you go out and back in everything is set to full extents again. Also, it does the same thing when you share a view only link even though the view is correct as the link is created.
