Is it ok to fly manually, then start flight?

Is it ok to fly manually to the flight area, then switch over to Drone Deploy and begin a flight plan? Does this somehow change the altitude behavior considering the mission is “launched” in the air?

Although they would prefer to turn on DroneDeploy first the turn on everything else and connect to the mobile device we have had no issues with engaging after already in flight. As a matter of fact you don’t have a choice in restricted airspace.

It creates flight plan issues. Be prepared for a bumpy ride.

Can you be a little more specific? We’ve been starting/restarting DroneDeploy for years without seeing any significant or repeatable issues. We have all seen bugs but nothing that we have experienced was due to entering flight on the fly.
