I am looking for a program that can quickly ‘map’ the geotag of each photo. Something, almost exactly, like what DD gives after you upload the photos: 
Ideally, you could select one of the indicators and it indicate the image information. Please let me know if you are using a program that can do this.

I think Adobe Lightroom does what you’re looking for.
RoboGeo sets geotags based on GPS track and exact time of the photo (if you have GPX-track, of course). It matches time of track point and time of the picture/
If you need just to see where the picture is taken, the simplest way is good old Google Picasa application (LightRoom is overkill, i think)
