How do I generate a KML file for a property to import into Drone Deploy?

I want to fly a specific property. I’m unsure of the exact property lines. Is there an easy way to generate a KML file of a property with the exact property lines that I could then import into DD? Thanks.

Do you have the property lines in a CAD or GIS format? We use our CAD linework into Google Earth, trace it to draw the polygon necessary for DroneDeploy. You can also create linework in QGIS but there’s a learning curve if you aren’t familiar with it. A couple of YouTube videos and you can pretty much use it like CAD.

If you zoom in using Google Maps you can see some property lines. Make a map and trace the line then export this as a KML to import to DD.
Maps Menu > Your Places > Maps > Create Map
