Flight Map

Hi There.
In the attached images of the WayPoint map. How do I make sure the area circled in red is not being scanned? In the past even though the area is outside the boundaries of the flight the area is still being photographed.

as far as i know, it should not take any pictures there. the flight pattern is optimized i think, that’s why it still flies in that line.

If you don’t want anything showing in that area, have you tried cropping the map, so it’s not showing anything there?

I wish you could create no fly zones but that feature is not available, as far as I’ve seen. You can block those locations off after uploading the images into dronedeploy using the area map that pops up.

So, after flying the mission as expected the fly map boundaries were not honored. As you can see the images were taken in the area shown outside of the boundaries.

I am not sure what is the point of marking out the irregular fly map boundaries if they are not being taken in effect. It wastes time and batteries. If anyone from the DroneDeploy looking at these messages I would like to know the explanation and how to avoid this in the future. Because currently it is only guessing.

Can anyone from Dronedeploy answer this question?

That’s normal. DroneDeploy doesn’t cut routes to hop across like DJI flight planning does. You’ll need to rotate your heading if you don’t want to fly that space.

Michael is correct. Changing the flight heading(direction) from the Advanced settings on the FLY tab would be the only way to improve this.
