Error code 3 and unable to take initial 'test' photo

Would much appreciate any help with this.

What does error code 3 mean?

Why does it not take the ‘test’ photo prior to take off?

I am using an Inspire 1.

This might be some sort of a ground control error. We haven’t heard of this one too often. Have you updated all of your firmware? If you continue to run into difficulties, you can email support@dronedeploy.com and we can try to help further.
