Elevation accuracy?

I’ve read previous responses to this question, but just want to clarify for a proposal; am I correct in assuming an non-GCP ortho map, 32 acres, shot 170’, with 45 degree perimeter images, can only provide elevation accuracy to +/- 1-2 feet, if corrected to an elevation benchmark?
And, am I correct in saying, GCP’s only correct lateral deviations, not elevations?
The information you share is always welcome and appreciated.
Thank you for clarifying these items…Ron

GCP’s will also correct elevation values. Without them, elevation values may be off by several feet once you corrected the map to an elevation benchmark as you stated.

My learning curve is slowly flattening, thanks for your response.

Thank you, but still would like to have a good sense of elevation accuracy WITHOUT GCPs.
