DroneDeploy panoramic feature?

I know Drone Deploy has a job status update feature where you can fly around a structure and take photos from several angles.

Is there any possibility of having a panoramic feature for DD’s app, something like what users put onto google maps for example here - https://www.google.com/maps/contrib/115772146836828651703/photos/@44.774158,-93.27774,3a,75y,263h,90t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1s-5Q4zYZxweW4%2FVquLkHzU3iI%2FAAAAAAADpu8%2Fl6qeSBUw22w!2e4!3e11!6s%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2F-5Q4zYZxweW4%2FVquLkHzU3iI%2FAAAAAAADpu8%2Fl6qeSBUw22w%2Fw203-h100-p-k-no%2F!7i10000!8i5000!6m1!1e1?shorturl=1

Me too!

I’ve not seen this feature you’re talking about. DD is basically for mapping. What you can do is fly a DJI intelligent flight mode, it’s called, “POI” or “point of interest.” It fly’s a perfect circle around your subject.

However, that will not give you a panoramic image like what you have posted. The DJI Phantom 4 Pro will do a pano for you, or you can use DronePan or Hangar360 or you can do them manually. They are not difficult to do and you can stitch them together with any pano stitcher.

Hope that helps.

That’s not quite what we’re talking about. Not even necessarily a flight mode to capture the data in DroneDeploy, but at least be able to store and use an embedded viewer for 360 spherical imagery. Video viewing has also come up.

@LukeEdAllen Currently DroneDeploy does not take images of the horizon and stitch them together. I agree with @California_Aerial_Im there are other software platforms better suited for this sort of task. DroneDeploy is for mapping but I can see how this would be useful and a cool feature. Hope this is helpful! Happy Flying!
