DroneDeploy ANDROID App Version 3.17.0 Crash

Same issue this morning…android 9, DD version 3.18.0…

Getting more annoying as days rolled in without updates to fix this issue…

Quit 3 times in an 8 minutes flight…

Andrew from DroneDeploy here. We’re actively investigating and working on this crash issue. Note the next Android version will include support for the new DJI SDK which resolves Android 10 crashes and more. Appreciate your patience and happy flying!

I have Samsung Note 9(SM-N960U), Andriod 9, DD v 3.18.0. The App closes randomly. Same problem as everyone else.

Is this the end of DD ??? Because there are many professionals stopped with this, and many are joining other app.

Haha, unlikely. You should have faith that they are doing their best. Any good pilot would be smart enough to not get themselves locked in to one platform. The processing, storage and sharing is where it’s really at anyway.

Boa tarde!

But it is not only in the version of android 10.in version 9 that we were using that is also happening to close the DD

Yes, but in the summer it pays, thanks to you that all riders choose to pay only one.

There are several capable flight softwares that are free and a few others that are less than $30 so I am not sure I quite understand the problem. You can upload photos taken on any drone that correctly geotags them agnostic to flight software. Near half of my flights now are on DataPilot with a Yuneec H520 so DroneDeploy flight doesn’t even come into play.

Still not a solution? It’s time to find it, right?
