Continuing the discussion from Greetings!:
I am new to drone deploy and I am trying to find out the best way, to build a KML file? I have the plot plan for the area, showing the numbers for each lot and the general shape. I need fairly accurate borders. Any suggestions?
If the Assessor’s office is GIS oriented, you may be able to download the parcel border as a .kml.
If not, they may at least show you a visual of the boundary overlaid upon a map or satellite image layer that you can use for a reference and then use Google Earth or QGIS to draw a similar polygon and export it as the .kml
Or, if you have or can determine the coordinates of the corners of the parcel, you can also use Google Earth or QGIS to build a polygon and export it as a .kml
