Contour referencing

Hi,
We’ve been asked to produce a contoured map of an estate with height readout or at least referenced heights from a common point.
Are you able to help?
Regards,
Dave

Export the DTM DXF contours and bring them into QGIS. From there you can label them.

Note that this can also be done with the DSM DEM or the DTM DTM exports, but you will have to create the contours in QGIS first.

Many thanks MichaelL, I will try it.

An additional question, am I able to use the terrain following feature when creating a contour map or should I fly at a set altitude?

Regards,
Dave

If terrain following then always use it. This is because it keeps your AGL consistent which will make your images match and stitch much better. Low spots will not be as blurry and it will maintain that you are getting good overlaps on the high spots. Anything over about a 15ft change is enough for it to be beneficial.

Thanks again Michael
