Does anyone have any checkpoints template to enter checkpoints? I didn’t see an uploaded for checkpoints but I’ve seen people using a normal CSV file with GCP’s and include checkpoints. how would that differ than the template they have online on drondeploy?
I need to start placement checkpoints and would love to get some feedbacks on how to upload the Coordinates for them. I am using Emlid Reach RS2 to capture the GCP’s as well as the checkpoints.
What would you add to the CSV file to make it work with checkpoints?
Would this below work? would it take the checkpoints as checkpoints without considering them GCP’s?
Yes, this is the correct format except for that you need to leave a space between the name and the number. I really wish they would put this in a standard number format. A lot of Engineering/Surveying software don’t allow for alpha’s in the point # column and the description should always be in the last column. Simple PNEZD,

So where is that space going? Sorry I am confused.
The ground control points part have been fine like this so it’s just a matter of putting a blank space line between the CGP and the checkpoints or else?
Or do you mean a space between the word checkpoint and 1 ? So as is checkpoint 1 ? Is this valid for the GCP as well?

I have always had a space between GCP/Checkpoint and the number. Yes, “gcp 1” & “checkpoint 1”. Has your been working without the space? Ideally they would give us access to the column mapping option so it doesn’t matter what format you start with.
Got it. Ive actually left the GCP name usually out of it: so it just has the top part GCP and then just numbers 1, 2, 3 etc…but now that I have checkpoints I didn’t know how to do it. I will do some testing.
