I’m flying in an FAA permission required area. I have approval from the FAA not to exceed 200’ ago and have unlocked in DJI Fly app. But cannot take off on drone deploy says I need to unlock. I have no problem flying there with the DJI app. I’m flying a Mavic Air 2 I also have max alt. set at 198 and RTH at same altitude
I should add. I got to fly once a week ago. It says start flight in gps mode. I hit cancel and it went to autonomous flight then flew the map plan. Now a week later I can’t get to takeoff
Thanks
Jeff
First you have to create a polygon flight area in the DJI Unlock web page then send it up with your credentials to DJI for approval. They approve mine in a matter of minutes. Then unlock the Go4/Go app once it is authorized. Then DD will recognize the flight area and off you go. Keep in mind you sometimes need to go back and redo this process in the DJI flight app after a battery change. Also add in some buffer on the edges of the flight area as DD will NOT fly outside of the polygon if the FTPs are not in the polygon. Bob
Thank you Chief. I just checked the DJI map. I’m flying in a blue zone which is a self unlock zone. I’ve done that procedure in the DJI app and can fly manually using the app. When I switch over to DD to run a mission it’s a no go and will not take off. What is baffling me is I got it to fly 1 mission the first time out there using DD no luck the last three times. I have FAA approval through drone zone until December 31, 2022.
