Android vs iOS Fall update

Hi All,

My supplier sent out an email below advising the DroneDeploy app has new in-flight features for pausing, taking photos/pano’s etc and being able to then resume (Fall Update?). I only use Android devices and have updated 3 different devices and cant see any of these new features when flying yesterday. Latest Android version seems to be 3.17, but below mentions 3.18 . Did the Fall update only apply to iOS ?

Hi Tye,

Andrew from DroneDeploy here.

Android did get updates (with version 3.18 starting rollout last week).

That said, the new Flight interface is not yet available on Android (iOS only). We do however plan to update Android in Winter 2019/2020.

Thanks

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for confirming that, I hope to see the new flight interface on Android asap.

Does the 3.18 update rollout to Android 9 devices or only those running 10?

Mine are running 9, which say 3.17 is ‘up to date’?

Cheers,
Tye

App store rollouts can be slow. Should see it within the next week.

Cheers!

Hi Andrew,

A quick question related to this - is the funtionality for panoramas, videos etc that is currently only available in the IOS app coming to Android in the next release?

Thanks

Tim
