1st Mission and Premature RTH

Just downloaded the app. Planned a mission on my desktop. On location, fired up the DD app on iPad. Loaded and started mission. After 14 photos (they look great) RTH kicked in and the Phantom 4 auto landed at the home point.

The drone flew about 50’ from the mission start, was clearly visible at ~120AGL and 50’ out. Is this a limitation to the trial I’m using? Am I missing something?

There may be interference in the area.

Just land it, recycle power on the drone, controller and even the mobile device, copy the flight plan (three dots to the right of the map name) and try it again. It should work.

I’ve come to the conclusion that it disconnected due to being 150’ above the controller, which had parbolics attached.
