Gimbal Angle Setting in Crosshatch Flight Mode

When using the Crosshatch flight mode, what are the guidelines for determining the gimbal angle to use?

The first time I used it, the angle was preset to 60° which produced good results on a large (73 acre) quarry with RMSE of 24.4.

The next time I used it, the preset was at 90° and I noticed a warning “Flying crosshatch grid flight patterns with all nadir imagery may reduce your overall RMSE error.” This was a smaller 20-acre site, and flying it with the 90° setting resulted in an RMSE of 13.8.

Each site may need to have a different gimbal angle to optimize the results.
It is likely a degree of experience gained from trial and error.
