Elevation map in shades of grey?

The default elevation maps are in spectral colors. Is there a setting that will generate elevation maps in shades of grey, or is there a translator that will map the full color default elevation map to shades of grey, where black is the lowest point and white is the highest?

If you click on the Elevation map, then click the little arrow under the slider it opens up with color and other options. You can use grey.
