I use drone to scan the environment, than I scan places which wasn’t reached by a drone with this handheld 3d scanner. I use Autocad to merge this to one 3d model, but I wonder if I can optimize this process and do this process in DroneDeploy only?
You can use other geotagged images.
They need to preferably show reference features on the ground to align and stitch with so it should always be pointed down and be about 20 - 30 feet away depending on its field of view. Our algorithm is for larger objects like buildings, not extreme closeups.
And you don’t want to get the sky in the images.
You can try it. It may work if they are geotagged.
